Speakers Hive - A new journey - 11-Jul-2025

 

On July 11th, we kicked off a new forum for communication and leadership skills development called Speakers Hive.

Why Speakers Hive?

In today's AI enabled world, excellence in communication and leadership is needed for students and working professionals to stand out from the crowd. We want to make high-quality communication / leadership programs affordable for everyone. Speaking to inform is quite easy, but speaking to impact is difficult. Our focus is to help members speak with impact.

What have we accomplished so far?

It is exactly 20 days since we started this forum. Here is what we were able to accomplish, as a team, in the last 20 days:

1. Conducted two online community Hive meetings on 20th July & 27th July 2025.
2. Conducted two corporate Hive meetings at Tantude Technologies, Chennai (on 25th July 2025 and 31st July).
3. Formed 5 volunteering groups (Digital Content Creation, Curriculum Development Committee, Education&Training, Mentors Pool and Advisors). Conducted kick-off meetings with 4 teams.
4. We have 88 members enrolled into the forum and 38 volunteers helping us with different activities 
5. We have a speech manual for the Level 1 Speech Mastery Program containing 5 speeches.
6. We have created role player templates for various meeting roles

Our teams are aggressively working on defining the overall program structure/curriculum, promotional materials, role definitions and defining processes/checklists for the smooth execution of our weekly meetings. We have assembled some amazing volunteers who have taken complete ownership of the tasks - which will help us to scale our operations.

If I have to quote Robert Frost's words ...

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep,   
But we have promises to keep,   
And miles to go before we sleep,   
And miles to go before we sleep."

We look forward to an exciting journey ahead.
